The existence of a strong solution of a differential inclusion of the form \[ x''(t) \in F(t,x(t),x'(t))\quad\text{for a.e. }(t\in[0,T]), \quad x(0) =x(T)=0 \] is shown, where \(F:[0,T]\times E\times E\to\mathcal{P}(E)\) is a set-valued upper-Carathéodory function satisfying a Hartman-type condition. Here, \(E\) is a separable Banach space which satisfies the Radon-Nikodym property. The proof relies on an approximation argument using the so-called Scorza-Dragoni property for the function \(F\) (see, e.g., [\textit{T. Rzezuchowski}, Bull. Acad. Pol. Sci., Sér. Sci. Math. 28, 61--66 (1980; Zbl 0459.28007)]). The solvability of the approximating problems is shown via a modified continuation principle presented in [the authors, Topol. Methods Nonlinear Anal. 37, No. 2, 303--341 (2011; Zbl 1242.34116)]. The result is applied to two integro-differential equations.
