Let \((X,\tau)\) be a Hausdorff locally convex linear topological space and let \(P\) be the separating family of continuous seminorms generating the topology \(\tau\). Let \(CL(X)\) denote the family of all nonempty closed subset of \(X\) and let \(CB(X)\) be the family of all bounded members of \(CL(X)\). Given \(F\in CB(X)\), \(A\in CL(X)\) and \(p\in P\). The \(p\)-radius of \(F\) in \(A\) is the number \(\text{rad}_p(F; A):= \inf\{r_p(x; F): x\in A\}\), where \(r_p(x: F):= \sup\{p(x- y): y\in F\}\). Let \(C\in CL(X)\). A mapping \(g: C\to X\) is said to satisfy (H) if each net \(\langle x_\lambda\rangle\) in \(C\), for which \(\langle g(x_\lambda)\rangle\) is convergent has a convergent subnet. Let \(p\in P\). A set \(C\) in \(CL(X)\) is said to be \(\text{cent}_p\)-compact for \(CB(X)\) if for each \(F\in CB(X)\) every net \(\langle x_\lambda\rangle\) in \(C\) satisfying \(r_p(x; F)\to \text{rad}_p(F; A)\) has a convergent subnet converging in \(C\). Let \(C\) be convex subset of \(X\) and let \(p\in P\). A mapping \(g: C\to X\) is said to be p-almost affine iff for all \(x,y\in C\) and \(u\in X\) \[ p(g(\alpha x+ (1- \alpha)y)- u)\leq \alpha(g(x)- u)+ (1- \alpha)(g(y)- u) \] for all \(\alpha\), \(0\leq \alpha\leq 1\). Let \(p\in P\) and let \(C\) be a nonempty convex subset of \(X\) which is \(\text{cent}_p\)-compact for \(CB(X)\). Let \(G: C\to C\) be a continuous p-almost affine and surjective map satisfying property (H). Let \(F: C\to CB(X)\) be continuous. If \(F(C):= \bigcup\{F(x): x\in C\}\) is relatively compact, then there exists an \(x\in C\) satisfying \[ r_p(g(x); F(x))= \text{rad}_p(F(x); C). \] This is a result of this paper. It is proved by using the Himmelberg fixed point theorem. For the entire collection see [Zbl 0903.00042].
