Summary: The variational iteration method was applied to the time fractional telegraph equation and some variational iteration formulae were suggested in [\textit{A. Sevimlican}, Math. Probl. Eng. 2010, Article ID 290631, 10 p. (2010; Zbl 1191.65137)]. Those formulae are improved by Laplace transform from which the approximate solutions of higher accuracies can be obtained.
