Local a priori/a posteriori error estimates of conforming finite elements approximation for Steklov eigenvalue problems (Q477075)

The authors study local a priori a posteriori error estimates of conforming finite element approximations for Steklov eigenvalue problems. Some preliminary results are presented. A local a posteriori estimate and a new local a posteriori error estimate in an energy norm for conforming finite element approximation are given. The authors claim based on the work presented that they can extend the existing effective finite element algorithms for eigenvalue problems to Steklov eigenvalue problems.
