The existence of the minimal speed separating the intervals of admissible and non-admissible wave velocities is one of the primary questions of interest in the study of wave propagation in reaction-diffusion systems. The authors study the delayed model proposed by \textit{J. Wu} and \textit{X. Zou} in [J. Dyn. Differ. Equations 13, No. 3, 651--687 (2001; Zbl 0996.34053)], which is a modification of Murray's model of the Belousov-Zhabotinsky chemical reaction. They work in the regime when this model describes a monostable reaction-diffusion system. The authors prove that the set of all admissible speeds of front propagation is bounded from below by the nonzero minimal speed. They also establish the monotonicity of wavefronts and present the principal terms of the asymptotic expansions of the wavefronts at infinity. All travelling profiles, except the minimal ones, have an algebraic rate of convergence at infinity. However, the travelling waves of the minimal speed decay exponentially at infinity. On a technical side, the authors develop the ideas of the method of regular super-solutions, which follows from their earlier publications in [Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. 33, No. 5, 2169--2187 (2013; Zbl 1267.34136)] and [J. Differ. Equations 254, No. 9, 3690--3714 (2013; Zbl 1271.34066)].
