This paper discusses to methods to construct a homogeneous form in \(n\) variables from an abstractly given Artinian complete intersection algebra, known to be a Milnor algebra. The first method just uses linear algebra to first find homogeneous generators of a defining ideal and then write them as gradient. The other method uses associated polynomials and classical invariant theory to obtain absolute invariants of the ring, which then have to be matched to the same absolute invariants of a suitable normal form. Both approaches are exemplified with the well-known case of ternary cubics.
