The current oscillations due to Zitterbewegung in monolayer silicene under a perpendicular magnetic field are studied by considering wave packets with a Gaussian population of both positive and negative energy levels. The autocorrelation function and the density currents in the monolayer silicene are investigated. An effective Hamiltonian is used to design the silicene model investigation and to study the ZB and revivals. A comparison with molybdenum disilicide, silicene and graphene shows that the Zitterbewegung for molybdenum disilicide is almost insensitive to the strength of the magnetic field. This phenomenon generates great interest and is proposed for further investigations using the techniques of quantum optics.
