Moduli spaces in genus zero and inversion of power series (Q482038)

Via the study of ribbon trees (trees with cyclic orderings of edges at each vertex), an elegant formula connecting formal inversion of power series to the stratification of the compactified moduli space \(\overline{\mathcal{M}_{0,n}}\) of \(n\)-punctured spheres is presented. As a corollary, one recovers a result of Getzler relating the generating functions of Euler characteristic of \(\mathcal{M}_{0,n}\) and \(\overline{\mathcal{M}_{0,n}}\).
