The paper under review deals with the study of the stability and thermal decoherence of solutions to quantum systems involving the Casimir and Aharonov-Bohm type effects. The authors give an explicit path integral calculation for the finite temperature system, which suggests substantial decoherence for the polarized Casimir force. In the case of the Aharonov-Bohm force, the situation may be notable different, for instance the final effect may lead to small modifications in Abrikosov lattices.
