Orders of approximation by local exponential splines (Q483423)

The authors investigate the approximation-theoretic properties of univariate local exponential splines on uniform grids with step size \(h>0\) arising from linear differential operators with constant coefficients and pairwise distinct real roots. Estimates for the order of approximation in certain Sobolev classes of functions are derived.
