Quantum tomography [\textit{M. Asorey} et al., Phys. Scr. 85, No. 6, Article ID 065001, 8 p. (2012; Zbl 1278.81048)] has recently emerged as an alternative picture of quantum mechanics, alternative to the Dirac-Schrödinger picture on Hilbert spaces etc. This paper provides a geometrical framework for the transition from quasi-distributions, in the Weyl-Wigner description of quantum mechanics on phase-space, to fair probability distributions [\textit{V. I. Man'ko} et al., Rep. Math. Phys. 61, No. 3, 337--359 (2008; Zbl 1252.81038)], in the tomographic description of quantum mechanics. This work is mostly concerned with the definition of the Random transform on Lagrangian subspaces and its inversion making it ready for use both in classical and quantum tomography.
