The author suggests and justifies a special generalized version of the collocation method for solvimg linear integral equations of the third kind \[ x(t) \prod^l_{j=1}(t-t_j)^{m_j} + \int^1_{-1} k(t,s) ((s+1)^{p_1}(1-s)^{p_2})^{-1} x(s) ds = f(t), \] where \(t \in [-1, 1]\), \(t_j \in (-1,1)\), \(m_j \in\mathbb N (j=1,2,\dots,l)\), \(p_1, p_2 \in\mathbb R^+,\) in the space of distributions. Here, \(k\) and \(f\) are known continuous functions; the integral is understood in the sense of Hadamard finite part.
