The purpose of this paper is to design a linear time- and space-discrete numerical method for the approximation of the exact solution to a nonlinear quasi-static Maxwell equations boundary value problem. The time discretization is based on the backward Euler method and the convergence and the error estimates require minimal regularity assumptions on the boundary and the initial data. Linearization is performed using the well-known fixed-point principle, whereas for the discretization in space Whitney's edge elements are employed. The final section of this paper contains experiments that confirm the efficiency of the numerical scheme developed in this paper.
