This paper discusses the existence and uniqueness of solutions for the discrete fractional boundary value problem with fractional boundary value condition \[ -\Delta^{\alpha}y(t)=f(t+\alpha-1,\;y(t+\alpha-1)), \] \[ y(\alpha-2)=\Delta^{\beta}y(\alpha+T+1-\beta)=0. \] In the first section, the authors provide a brief literature review. Then, in the second section, they give a few definitions and some preliminary results. In the last lemma of this section, they obtain a form of the unique solution of a general type discrete fractional boundary value problem that includes a Green's function. The third section is devoted to some useful properties of the Green's function. The main results of the paper are in the forth section. First, the authors obtain the sufficient conditions under which the discrete fractional boundary value problem has at least one positive solution, by using fixed point theory. Then they discuss an existence theorem for a special case when \(f(t,\;y)=H_1(t)H_2(y)\). At last, they obtain the conditions for uniqueness of the solution. The authors give an example in the fifth section.
