In this article, the authors consider the Galerkin discretization of the boundary integral equations which correspond to problems for the Helmholtz equation in three dimensions. A main result is proven which shows the semi-analytic integration for the bilinear form that is induced by the hypersingular operator. Such computations have already been carried out by \textit{S. Rjasanow} and \textit{O. Steinbach} [The fast solution of boundary integral equations. New York: Springer (2007; Zbl 1119.65119)] for the bilinear form induced by the single-layer and the double-layer potential operators and the authors base their computations on these results.
