This paper is devoted to the study of the asymptotic regime for two-dimensional ferromagnetic thin films that arise in special transition layers of Néel wall type. The main results of the paper under review establish compactness and optimality properties, as well as the energy concentration of Néel walls. Dynamical properties driven by the Landau-Lifschitz-Gilbert equation are also discussed. The proofs combine energy estimates, variational arguments and tools from asymptotic analysis.
