Heat flow out of a compact manifold (Q490762)

This paper deals with the study of the heat flow out of a smooth compact manifold in a larger compact Riemannian manifold. The authors are mainly concerned with the asymptotic analysis for such a heat flow. The framework corresponds to differential operators of Laplace-type. A particular feature of this paper is that no boundary conditions are assumed. In such a case, the asymptotic structure involves terms localized on the boundary.
