Summary: We obtain some fixed point results for single-valued and multivalued mappings in the setting of a \(b\)-metric space. These results are generalizations of the analogous ones recently proved by \textit{F.Khojasteh}, \textit{M. Abbas} and \textit{S. Costache} [Abstr. Appl. Anal. 2014, Article ID 325840, 5 p. (2014; \url{doi:10.1155/2014/325840})].
