Summary: We consider the existence of solutions of variational inequalities of the form to find \(u \in D(J):\langle \mathcal A(u),v-u\rangle+\langle F(u),v-u\rangle+J(v)-J(u)\geq 0\) for all \(v\in W^1L_M(\Omega)\), whose principal part is having a growth not necessarily of polynomial type, where \(\mathcal A\) is a second-order elliptic operator of Leray-Lions type, \(F\) is a multivalued lower order term, and \(J\) is a convex functional. We use subsupersolution methods to study the existence and enclosure of solutions in Orlicz-Sobolev spaces.
