The aim of this paper is to continue the study of the mass critical generalized Korteweg-de Vries (gKdV) equation initiated in Part I [the authors, Acta Math. 212, No. 1, 59--140 (2014; Zbl 1301.35137)] : \[ u_t+(u_{xx}+u^5)_x=0, \] for initial data in \(H^1\). The authors first prove the existence and uniqueness in the energy space of a minimal mass blow up solution and give a sharp description of the corresponding blow up soliton-like bubble. They then show that this solution is the universal attractor of all solutions near the ground state which have a defocusing behavior. This allows them to sharpen the description of near soliton dynamics obtained in [loc. cit.]. The paper is supported by two appendices devoted to the proof of several technical statements.
