The notion of the local spectrum of a perfect binary code \(C\) is introduced and studied. Let \({\mathbf a}\) be a vector in a face \(\gamma\) of the \(n\)-cube. Denote by \(v^a_{i}(\gamma)\) the set of all vectors of \(\gamma\) which are at the Hamming distance \(i\) from the vector \({\mathbf a}\). The vector \(v^a(\gamma)=(v^a_{0}(\gamma),v^a_{1}(\gamma),\ldots,v^a_{\dim \gamma}(\gamma))\) is called the \((\gamma,{\mathbf a})\)-local spectrum of the code \(C\) in the face \(\gamma\) with respect to the vector \({\mathbf a}\). Let \(\gamma\) (\(\gamma ^{\perp}\)) be a \(k\)-dimensional (\((n-k)\)-dimensional orthogonal to \(\gamma\)) face. Let \({\mathbf a}=\gamma \cap \gamma ^{\perp}.\) It is established that the \((\gamma^{\perp},{\mathbf a})\)-local spectrum of a perfect code is uniquely determined by the \((\gamma, {\mathbf a})\)-local spectrum of the code. Some properties of the spectra are considered. The approach develops the approach presented earlier by the author in [Operations research and discrete analysis. Mathematics and its Applications 391, 301-309 (1997; Zbl 0921.94015)].
