    Let \(k\) be a field, \(H\) a \(k\)-bialgebra with comultiplication \(\Delta\) and \(D\) an \(H\)-bimodule algebra. Define the linear maps, \(R\colon H\otimes D\to D\otimes H\) by \(R(h\otimes d)=h_1d\otimes h_2\) and \(Q\colon D\otimes H\to D\otimes H\) by \(Q(d\otimes h)=dh_2\otimes h_1\), where \(\Delta(h)=h_1\otimes h_2\). Then the L-R-smash product \(D_Q\otimes_RH\) of \(D\) and \(H\) is defined by \textit{M. Ciungu} and \textit{F. Panaite}, [Algebra Colloq. 21, No. 1, 129-146 (2014; Zbl 1294.16020)], and a diagonal crossed product can be defined when \(H\) is a Hopf algebra with bijective antipode. A Hom-associative algebra is \((A,\mu,\alpha)\) in which \(A\) is a linear space, \(\alpha\colon A\to A\) and \(\mu\colon A\otimes A\to A\) are linear maps such that \(\alpha(aa')=\alpha(a)\alpha(a')\) and \(\alpha(a)(a'a'')=(aa')\alpha(a'')\) for all \(a,a',a''\in A\), and a Hom-coassociative coalgebra is \((C,\Delta,\alpha)\) in which \(C\) is a linear space, linear maps \(\alpha\colon C\to C\) and \(\Delta\colon C\to C\otimes C\) such that \((\alpha\otimes\alpha)\circ\Delta=\Delta\circ\alpha\) and \((\Delta\otimes\alpha)\circ\Delta=(\alpha\otimes\Delta)\circ\Delta\). Moreover, a left or right \(A\)-module \((M,\alpha_M)\), a Hom-bialgebra \((H,\mu_H,\Delta_H,\alpha_H)\), a right \(H\)-module Hom-algebra \((C,\mu_C,\alpha_C)\) and a Hom-Hopf algebra are defined. Let \((A,\mu_A,\alpha_A)\) be a Hom-associative algebra, \(M\) a linear space and \(\alpha_M\colon M\to M\) a linear map. Assume that \((M,\alpha_M)\) is both a left and a right \(A\)-module. Then \((M,\alpha_M)\) is an \(A\)-bimodule if \(\alpha_A(a)(ma')=(am)\alpha_A(a')\) for all \(a,a'\in A\), \(m\in M\). For a Hom-bialgebra \(H\) and an \(H\)-bimodule Hom-algebra \(D\), it is shown that if \(H\) has a bijective antipode and \(Q\) is bijective, then \(D_Q\otimes_RH\cong D\otimes_PH\) (where \(P=Q^{-1}\circ R\)) which is called the Hom-diagonal crossed product. In particular, if \(H\) is a finite dimensional Hom-Hopf algebra with bijective antipode and bijective structure map, the Hom-diagonal crossed product \(H^*_Q\otimes_RH\) is the algebra structure of the Drinfeld double \(D(H)\), where \(H^*\) is the dual algebra of \(H\). It is also shown that the category of modules over \(D(H)\) is isomorphic to the category of left-right-Drinfeld modules, and that \(D(H)\) is a quasi-triangular Hom-Hopf algebra.
