The authors of this paper prove that a necessary and sufficient condition for a capacity to be extendable in a concave way (otherwise said, to be concavifiable) over a bounded domain is to possess the sandwich property. ``A capacity \(v\) has the sandwich property if for every affine function \(f\) over \(\mathbb{R}_n{}_+\) that dominates \(v\), there exists a linear function \(l\) that is dominated by \(f\) and dominates''. Relations between this notion and standard concepts in the theory of capacities, as well as interesting (practical) examples are also presented.
