Theorem B for Stein manifolds implies that \(n\) holomorphic functions on an \(n\)-dimensional Stein manifold generate the unit ideal if and only if they have no common zeroes. In the case of entire functions of \(n\) complex variables, easier proofs should be possible. The author gives such a proof. He uses the fact that the corresponding theorem is true for polydisk algebras (the algebras of holomorphic functions with continuous boundary values on compact polydisks), exhausts the space by a sequence of polydisks and constructs (from the solutions of the pertinent diophantine equation on the polydisks) a solution on the whole space by a Mittag-Leffler-like procedure.
