Let \(f(z)\) be a meromorphic function in the complex plane with order \(\lambda\in (0,\infty)\), the half line \(B:= \{z,\arg z=\theta\}\) is said to be a Borel direction of \(f(z)\) if for all complex values with at most two exceptions and any \(\varepsilon> 0\) \[ \limsup_{r\to\infty} {\log n(r,\theta, \varepsilon,f= a)\over\log r}= \lambda \] holds where \(n(r,\theta, \varepsilon,f= a)\) denotes the number of \(a\)-points of \(f(z)\) in the region \(\{z|\arg z-\theta|< \varepsilon\}\cap\{z,|z|< r\}\). Let \(E\) and \(E'\) denote the set of all Borel directions of \(f(z)\) and the union of the sets of Borel directions of \(f'(z),(zf(z))'\) and \(((z+ 1)f(z))'\) respectively. Then the author proves \(E\subseteq E'\).
