The author addresses the problem of imperfect reasoning. The idea is to derive the nonstandard worlds, seen by an agent as possible, by analyzing her preferences. The first case considered is the one where the agent's deductions are based on a version of Rescher and Brandom's logic of inconsistency. Necessary and sufficient conditions on the agent's preferences are given. Next, properties of a generalization of that logic are derived. Finally, the agent's logic and preferences are interrelated. For the entire collection see [Zbl 0931.00027].
