Applications of several kinds of wavelets have been found useful for obtaining numerical solutions of different kinds of integral equations. Among them, is included the Haar wavelets, which under specific conditions, is employed non-linear Fredholm integral equations. But all such methods involve the approximation of certain integrals. In one of the references of the paper, [\textit{R. T. Lynch} and \textit{J. J. Reis}, ``Haar transform image coding'', in: Proceedings of the National Telecommunications Conference, Dallas, TX, 441--443 (1976)], the Haar transform is rationalized by deleting the irrational numbers and introducing the integral powers of two. This modification is named rationalized Haar (RH) transform. The present paper deals and investigates the solution of non-linear mixed Fredholm-Volterra integral equations of the second kind by employing numerical methods that approximate the solution, and involves RH wavelet functions. Error analysis is studied in Section 4, where the error for the method is obtained by using the Banach fixed point theorem. Moreover, it is shown through examples that the successive method of approximation can yield better results than those obtained through other methods.
