The theory of prehomogeneous vector spaces is closely related to the theory of Lie algebras. Indeed, the prehomogeneity condition of a triplet \((G, \rho, V)\), where \(G\) is an algebraic group and \(\rho\) a representation of \(G\) on a complex finite-dimensional vector space, can be expressed by the corresponding Lie algebra of \(G\) and its representation \((\mathrm{Lie}(G), d\rho, V),\) where \(\mathrm{Lie}(G)\) is the Lie algebra of \(G\) and \(d\rho\) the infinitesimal representation of \(\rho,\) that is, a triplet \((G,\rho, V)\) is a prehomogeneous vector space if and only if there exists an element \(x\) in \(V\) such that \(d\rho(\mathrm{Lie}(G)) \, x = V.\) In this paper, the author uses the notion of quadruplet, previously introduced by himself, to give the notion of Lie algebra associated with a standard quadruplet. Then, he introduces the concept of prehomogeneous quadruplet and study properties of the graded Lie algebras corresponding to the prehomogeneous condition of triplets and also gives, as an application, a different proof from the usual of castling transformation.
