From the summary: ``We prove that in any hyperbolic orbifold with one boundary component, the product of any hyperbolic fundamental group element with a sufficiently large multiple of the boundary is represented by a geodesic loop that virtually bounds an immersed surface. Our results generalize work of \textit{D. Calegari} and \textit{J. Louwsma} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 139, No. 7, 2295--2308 (2011; Zbl 1276.20049)], and resolve a conjecture of \textit{D. Calegari} [Geom. Topol. 13, No. 3, 1313--1336 (2009; Zbl 1228.20032)].''
