The paper is devoted to the analysis of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation on a finite binary rooted tree with Kirchhoff conditions at interior vertices, Dirichlet boundary conditions at the leaves and a Robin type condition inducing dissipation at the root. After proving well-posedness of the evolution equation by means of the Lumer-Phillips Theorem, the authors study the spectrum of the corresponding operator as well as the conservative version of it with Neumann bounday condition at the root. They also show that the energy decreases exponentially to some nonnegative value depending on the initial condition. By changing all but one boundary conditions to Robin-type conditions they also prove exponential stability of the corresponding \(C_0\)-semigroup.
