The paper gives an algorithmic description of an uncountable family of non-periodic square-triangle tilings with sixfold rotational symmetry. Each individual tiling emerges from a central 6-star by successive ring-shaped extensions with certain restrictions. Only three vertex stars are allowed, and the surface growth is controlled by some boundary substitution and merging rules. No further properties of the tilings are analysed; most of them will not be repetitive (and thus of limited interest to quasicrystal applications). For other examples and further background, see Section 6.3 and Example 9.5 of the monograph by \textit{M. Baake} and \textit{U. Grimm} [Aperiodic order. Volume 1. A mathematical invitation. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press (2013; Zbl 1295.37001)], and the references given there.
