A diffusion equation on a 2D bounded domain is coupled through a jump interface with the Laplace equation on the unbounded complementary part of it with respect to the real plane. The author is concerned with the numerical resolution of such problems. Consequently, he makes use of a finite volume method (FVM) in order to approximate the first problem and of a boundary element method (BEM) in order to discretize the latter. Further, the author extends his previous results introducing an a posteriori error estimator for the cell-centered FVM-BEM coupling with a nonconforming Morley interpolant. Eventually, he proves the reliability and efficiency of this estimator. Two numerical examples, one corresponding to a square and another one corresponding to an L-shaped domain, are carried out in order to confirm the theoretical results.
