In this paper, the author gives a geometrically consistent formulation of the anisotropic Willmore flow for parametric hypersurfaces in \(\mathbb{R}^{n}\). The paper consists of 6 parts. After a brief introduction in the first two parts, in Section 3 the anisotropic Willmore flow is presented. Section 4, respectively 5, is dedicated to the study of the variational formulation, respectively, the discretization of the Willmore flow. Finally, in Section 6, an experimental stable semi-implicit scheme is presented and also some tests for the evolution of curves and surfaces are given.
