Structured condition numbers for linear systems with parameterized quasiseparable coefficient matrices (Q501977)

The authors are concerned with the subclass of low-rank structured matrices of the type \(\{ 1, 1 \}\)- quasiseparable together with the general, non-unique, quasiseparable representation and essentially unique Givens-vector representation. They prove that the condition number with respect to any quasiseparable representation is the same and cannot be too much larger than the condition number with respect to the Givens vector representation.
