A criterion that completely specifies all the boundaries where a surface integral over the boundary of open bounded sets in \(\mathbb{R}^d\) (with \(d \geq 2\)) exists for the \((d - 1)\)-differential forms from Hölder classes is provided and a proof for the corresponding Gauss-Green formula is given under the same condition as the existence of the integral. This new integration procedure extends the class of boundaries where surface integrals were previously defined for Hölder differential forms, including highly irregular boundaries like non-rectifiable Jordan curves, fractals, sets of finite perimeter boundaries and flat chains. It is also shown that the assumption that the differential of the form or the differential of its Whitney extension has to be summable in the region, previously considered in the literature, turns out to be superfluous in the light of the new integral definition. Illustrative examples are also provided.
