A group \(G\) has the property \(F\ell_p\) if any continuous action of the group \(G\) on the \(\ell_p\) space by affine isometries has a \(G\)-fixed point. In this paper, the author shows that for \(1 <p <q <\infty\), \(p \neq 2\), the property \(F\ell_q\) implies the property \(F\ell_p\). It provides a partial answer in the case of discrete groups and \(\ell_p\) spaces to the following question posed in [\textit{I. Chatterji} et al., Adv. Math. 225, No. 2, 882--921 (2010; Zbl 1271.20053)]: ``Is the set of values of \(p \in (1, \infty)\) for which a group has property \(FL_p\) an interval?''
