This article studies generalized Donaldson-Thomas invariants of Calabi-Yau threefolds \(X\) associated to higher-rank Joyce-Song pairs. Given a polarized Calabi-Yau threefold \((X,\mathcal{O}(1))\), one can consider \textit{rank \(r\) Joyce-Song pairs} \((F,V,\phi)\), where \(F\) is a coherent sheaf on \(X\) with fixed Hilbert polynomial, \(V\) is an \(r\)-dimensional vector space, and \(\phi: V \to \mathrm{Hom}(\mathcal{O}(-n),F)\) is a linear map; \(n\) is taken large enough that \(H^1(X,F(n)) = 0\). The invariants under consideration are the weighted Euler characteristics of the moduli stacks of semistable such objects. Considering the rank \(2\) case, the author calculates these invariants using a stratification of the moduli stack of pairs. Thinking of a pair \((F,V,\phi)\) as a complex \(V\otimes \mathcal{O}(-n) \to F\), and hence an object of the derived category, one can stratify the moduli stack according to the different ways that this object can be decomposed as an extension of lower-rank pairs. The strata are described directly, and the result follows from an involved calculation with stack functions and motivic integration. The result of the calculation is stated as equation (62) at the end of the paper. The author works through an example of rank 2 Joyce-Song invariants of local \(\mathbb{P}^1\) (the total space of \(\mathcal{O}_{\mathbb{P}^1}(-1)^{\oplus 2} \to \mathbb{P}^1\)) to illustrate the principles behind the general calculation. The author has obtained similar results using a less direct method [Ill. J. Math. 59, No. 1, 55--83 (2015; Zbl 1338.14053)], namely the wall-crossing formula of \textit{D. Joyce} and \textit{Y. Song} [``A theory of generalized Donaldson-Thomas invariants'', Mem. Am. Math. Soc. 1020, iii-v, 199 p. (2012; Zbl 1259.14054)] and \textit{M. Kontsevich} and \textit{Y. Soibelman} [``Stability structures, motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariants and cluster transformations'', \url{arXiv:0811.2435}].
