The authors study Hermite distributions. Their definition is inspired by \textit{L. Boutet de Monvel} [Commun. Pure Appl. Math. 27, 585--639 (1974; Zbl 0294.35020)]. The peculiar property is that their microsupport is contained in an anisotropic submanifold \(\Sigma\), basic example is \(T^* \mathbb R^{n+m}= \mathbb R^{2(n+m)}\) with variable \(x=(t,y)\), \(\xi=(\tau,\eta)\), being \(\Sigma=\{(t,y= 0,\xi=0\}\), included in the zero section. Detailed results are given in the frame of the semiclassical pseudodifferential and Fourier integral operators. Interesting applications concern propagation of coherent states for Schrödinger equations.
