In the paper under review, the authors study the Desargues configuration, an (abstract) incidence geometry (see Definition 1.1), and they determine all possible minors of it (see Definition 1.2). The main results of the paper tell us about embeddings of these minors in projective spaces and their ambient automorphism groups (i.e., the group of all projective collineations that leave the embedded configuration invariant) in Pappian projective spaces. Examples provided by the authors show that the letter problem becomes hard if the extra Pappian condition is dropped (see Section 8 for further details).
