In this work, assuming that the solution of the parabolic problem \[ u_t=\Delta u+|u|^{p-1}u \quad \text{in \(\mathbb{R}^N\)} \] (with \(1<p\), \(p<\frac{N+2}{N-2}\) if \(N\geq 3\), and essentially bounded initial datum) blows up in a non-degenerate way, the authors study the regularity of the blow-up set. They generalize previous results and obtain that, even when the blow up points are not isolated, the blow-up set is a locally \(\mathcal{C}^2\) manifold, if it is \(\mathcal{C}^1\) (in fact only \(\mathcal{C}\) regularity is enough, as they point out). The main point is the derivation of a refined asymptotic profile of the solution and a successive link with the geometry of the blow-up set. The paper contains a nice introduction which details the previous state of the art of the problem and the methods used to treat the general case.
