Let \(k\) be an algebraically closed field and \(A\) be a finitely generated, centrally finite, nonnegatively graded \(k\)-algebra. In this note the authors construct a representation scheme for graded maximal Cohen-Macaulay \(A\) modules. The main assumptions of this work are that \(A\) is nonnegatively graded and that \(A_{0}\), the degree-zero component of \(A\) is finite-dimensional over \(k\). Assume that the center \(Z(A)\) of \(A\) is a finitely generated \(k\)-algebra. Fix \(R\subset A\) to be a graded, central, polynomial subring over which \(A\) is module-finite. The authors show that when \(A\) is commutative, with an isolated singularity, then for each graded-free \(R\)-module \(V\), there are only finitely many isomorphism classes of rigid, graded maximal Cohen-Macaulay \(A\) modules of type \(V\). They also show that up to shifting, there are only finitely many isomorphism classes of indecomposable, rigid, graded maximal Cohen-Macaulay \(A\) modules of each rank. Furthermore, when \(A\) is a complete, local \(k\)-algebra with an isolated singularity which is the completion of some nonnegatively graded ring. Then \(A\) admits only finitely many indecomposable, rigid maximal Cohen-Macaulay \(A\) modules of each rank.
