Extending results of \textit{J.-M. Aubry} and \textit{F. Bastin} [Stud. Math. 197, No. 1, 27--42 (2010; Zbl 1196.46005)], the author investigates several aspects of the spaces \(S^{\nu}\), which were introduced by \textit{S. Jaffard} [J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 10, No. 3, 221--246 (2004; Zbl 1075.42014)] to investigate wavelet coefficients of certain function spaces. A natural metric was defined on \(S^{\nu}\) by \textit{J.-M. Aubry} et al. [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 321, No. 1, 364--387 (2006; Zbl 1103.46002)]. With this metric, the space \(S^{\nu}\) is separable, complete, Schwartz and not nuclear. Moreover, it is locally \(p\)-convex in certain cases and only locally pseudoconvex in others. Some questions about the structure of this space have remained open. The author considers the case of concave profiles \(\nu\). The advantage of concavity is that the associated spaces have topologies ``easier'' to manipulate. The formula of the diametral dimension is obtained in this case. The author uses his method to prove that the space \(S^{\nu}\) satisfies the topological invariant \((\overline{\Omega})\) of Vogt and Wagner in the concave setting for locally psudoconvex spaces and also in the locally \(p\)-convex case.
