Construction of multivariate frames using the polyphase method (Q509155)

In [the first author, Int. J. Wavelets Multiresolut. Inf. Process. 14, No. 5, Article ID 1650034, 25 p. (2016; Zbl 1351.42043)], an algorithm is suggested for the construction of an \(H\)-symmetric mask that satisfies a sum rule of arbitrary order (finite), for any symmetry group \(H\) and any appropriate symmetry center and dilation matrix in the multidimensional case. In the paper under review, on the basis of results from [loc. cit.], the authors give an algorithmic approach for the construction of symmetric frame-like wavelet systems with compact support and arbitrary approximation order using the polyphase method developed in [the second author, Appl. Comput. Harmon. Anal. 27, No. 1, 55--72 (2009; Zbl 1171.42021)].
