The authors consider emergent flocking phenomena for a thermodynamically consistent particle (TCP) model, which is a generalized Cucker-Smale (C-S) type flocking model. It is motivated by the theory of mixtures of gases with multi-temperatures. The presented TCP model can be reduced to the C-S model by assuming $T_\alpha=1$, where $T_\alpha$ is the temperature of the $\alpha$-th particle. First, the authors study the corresponding conservation laws and provide the framework for asymptotic weak flocking of velocity and temperature in the TCP model. Then, for a simpler case of the sufficiently low diffusion velocities $v_\alpha$ (so that $v_\alpha$ can be neglected in the temperature equation), they derive exponential strong flocking estimates for temperatures, velocities and relative positions. Finally, perspectives for future investigations are proposed.
