Examples of quasitoric manifolds as special unitary manifolds (Q510377)

The authors provide counter examples to a conjecture of \textit{V. Buchstaber} et al. [Int. Math. Res. Not. 2010, No. 16, 3207--3262 (2010; Zbl 1206.57039)]. In particular, for all \(n\geq 5\), \(n\neq 6\), they provide \(2n\)-dimensional omnioriented quasitoric manifolds that represent a non-zero element in the unitary bordism ring \(\Omega_*^U\).
