The book addresses the problem of choosing among alternative separate or nonnested statistical models. In this context, two approaches are presented and discussed, hypothesis testing, namely the Cox test and alternatives, and alternative Bayes factors for model discrimination. Real-world and simulation results are used to demonstrate the features, properties and characteristics of the discussed approaches.
