The authors consider the context of graph-directed Markov systems (see [the first author, Dimension spectrum and graph directed Markov systems, Ph.D. thesis Univ. North Texas (2006)]) in order to study the Hausdorff dimension spectrum corresponding to the nearest integer continued fraction expansions, as they were introduced by \textit{B. Minnigerode} in [``Ueber eine neue Methode, die Pellsche Gleichung aufzulösen'', Gött. Nachr. 1873, 619--652 (1873; JFM 05.0105.02)]. Finally, they apply this study to obtain new advances on the nearest integer continued fraction expansions.
