Employing methods due to Lubinsky, the author establishes two new universality theorems for polynomial reproducing kernels of compactly supported measures. In the first theorem, measures on the unit circle with a jump and weight singularity at 1 are considered and in the second theorem area-type measures on a certain disconnected polynomial lemniscate.
