This paper discusses the rigidity property of fiber-preserving quasisymmetric maps on fibred quasisymmetric spaces. The main result states that such maps are quasi-similarities, and hence bi-Lipschitz. As a consequence of this result the authors obtain that quasisymmetric maps on Carnot groups with reducible first stratum are bi-Lipschitz. That result supplies a partial answer to the problem of rigidity of Carnot groups raised in [\textit{P. Pansu}, Ann. Math. (2) 129, No. 1, 1--60 (1989; Zbl 0678.53042)].
