A singular point on a reduced and irreducible algebraic curve in a smooth complex surface is a cusp if it is locally irreducible. A curve is called unicuspidal if all its sigularities are cusps. This interesting paper is devoted to give two results which give restrictions for configurations of singular points on a cuspidal curve in a Hirzebruch surface. The first of them shows that the semigroup distribution property obstructs cases when the multiplicities are large and the second one proves that the spectrum semicontinuity obstructs curves with low multiplicities.
